Emma-Jayne Jones

Artist and creative wellbeing practitioner.

I am a Welsh-based artist and creative wellbeing practitioner working across print, pattern, textiles, mixed media and digital processes.
My creative background began with a BA in Fashion and Textile Design. Textiles, surface, pattern and materiality have remained recurring interests in my work.
After spending many years away from regular creative practice, I returned to making later in life through learning digital repeat pattern design using Adobe Creative Cloud. That return became a way back into a broader art practice and fuelled an increasing interest in the role creativity can play in confidence, connection and wellbeing.
I am currently completing an MA in Arts Practice: Arts, Health and Wellbeing at the University of South Wales. Through this, my practice is expanding into participatory and community-based work alongside my own studio practice. I am particularly interested in accessible, process-led creative experiences that encourage curiosity, experimentation and connection without judgement.
Personal experience has also informed my interest in the relationship between creativity and emotional wellbeing, and I continue to explore how materials, making and lived experience intersect within both individual and shared creative practice.
